MAISIE COUNSELING
INDIANAPOLIS, INDIANA
I’m committed to your well-being
I provide compassionate, evidence-based therapy in Indianapolis, Indiana, offering a warm, down-to-earth space where clients feel safe enough to be honest and fully themselves. I work with teens and adults navigating life transitions, stress, anxiety, depression, and relationship challenges, with a growing focus on maternal and perinatal mental health. My approach is grounded in empathy, flexibility, and patience, and tailored to each client using a blend of cognitive behavioral, acceptance and commitment, emotion-focused, strengths-based, and systems-informed therapy.
Hayley
Licensed Clinical Social Worker
Hi, I’m Hayley Craig, a licensed clinical social worker based in Indianapolis with seven years of experience as a therapist and over fifteen years in the field of social work. I’ve worked in community mental health, integrated care, and group practice, and I founded Maisie Counseling because I believe therapy should feel supportive, human, and deeply safe. I’m currently pursuing further education in perinatal mental health to better support clients during pregnancy, postpartum, and beyond. It’s an honor to walk alongside people as they grow, heal, and find connection.

Who You’ll Be Working With
While sessions are for you and about you, I know it can be hard to open up to someone you don’t know. I use she/her pronouns and, outside of work, I spend time with my husband, family, friends, my two dogs, and usually an iced coffee in hand year-round.
Maisie Counseling is named after my golden retriever, and when I’m not in session I enjoy caring for houseplants, watching Bob’s Burgers, and reading books on banned lists. Creating a safe, affirming space and continuing to grow, learn, and unlearn as both a person and a therapist is deeply important to me.

Inclusivity Statement
I believe care and connection should be affirming and without bounds. I am committed to creating a therapeutic space rooted in diversity, inclusivity, and respect, where differences are welcomed as part of what makes us human. I strive to provide compassionate, affirming care to people of all identities and backgrounds, and I am continually learning and growing so that fear of difference is replaced with understanding, safety, and belonging.
WAYS WE CAN WORK TOGETHER
YOUNG ADULT
I offer a calm, affirming space for teens and young adults to feel heard, understood, and supported. Together, we work through anxiety, mood concerns, relationship challenges, and the transitions that come with growing into adulthood.
WOMEN’S MENTAL HEALTH
I offer a calm, supportive space for women navigating anxiety, mood concerns, relationship challenges, identity shifts, and life transitions, including pregnancy, postpartum, and the seasons in between. Therapy is a place to slow down, feel understood, and receive compassionate support during times of change.
LGBTQIA+ Affirming Therapy
I offer LGBTQIA+ affirming therapy in Indianapolis, providing a supportive, nonjudgmental space where individuals can show up fully as themselves. Together, we explore identity, relationships, stress, and emotional challenges with care, understanding, and respect.
How it Works
Start with a free 15-minute consult
We’ll connect briefly to talk about what’s bringing you to therapy, answer questions, and see if working together feels like a good fit. There’s no pressure or obligation.
Meet for an initial 60-minute session
Your first full session is a chance to get to know one another, explore your goals, and talk through what support may be most helpful. I will offer a recommended session plan based on your needs. Together, we’ll decide on session length and frequency that feel supportive and sustainable.
Continue with ongoing sessions
After your initial session, ongoing appointments are scheduled based on your needs and preferences, either in person at Hayley’s Indianapolis office or through secure video calls.
