RELAXED, COLLABORATIVE THERAPY

About Maisie Counseling, llc

Hello, I’m Hayley Craig! I am a licensed Clinical Social Worker in Indianapolis, IN with 7 years as a practicing therapist and over 15 years of experience in the field of social work. I have worked in multiple settings like community mental health, integrated care, and group practice. Through my private practice I provide compassionate evidence-based care.

I started Maisie Counseling LLC because I believe therapy should be a space clients feel safe enough to be bravely honest and themselves. I provide a warm, down-to-earth environment that helps clients feel comfortable and understood. I enjoy working with teens and adults navigating life transitions, stress, anxiety, depression and relationship challenges, with a growing focus on maternal and perinatal mental health. I am currently pursuing perinatal mental health certification to better support patients during pregnancy, postpartum, and beyond.

Therapy is a space for growth, healing, and connection—and I am honored to walk alongside clients on their journey. My approach is grounded in empathy, flexibility, and patience. I combine multiple modalities like cognitive behavioral, acceptance and commitment, emotion-focused, and strengths-based therapy while employing systems frameworks to meet each client’s needs. Life can be hard and it is a privilege to help others navigate it and live as their best selves.

more about who i am

While sessions are for you and about you, I know it can be hard to open up to someone you don’t know. Here are some things about me. I use pronouns she/her. When I’m not in session, I enjoy spending my time with my husband, family and best friends. I am often hanging out with my two dogs probably watching Bob’s Burgers. My golden retriever, Maisie, is who I named my practice after. I don’t have the strongest green thumb, but I do enjoy taking care of my house plants. I drink iced coffee year around and should definitely drink more water. I am currently working on reading through books on banned lists. As a therapist, I believe it is important to have my own therapist. Everyone deserves a place to feel brave enough to focus on their needs and wants. Continuing to grow and learn or unlearn as a person and a licensed therapist is priority to me. It is important to me that I am able to provide space for those who may not feel safe due to their sexual orientation, gender identity, race, ethnicity, sex, etc. If you have any questions or are looking for a therapist, please feel free to reach out!
